There are two ways to load your Picnic card with crypto. Before you start, choose where the funds will come from:
- A) I want to use the crypto that's already in my Picnic account (Portfolio / Multi-currency balance) → use Picnic Pro in your browser.
- B) I want to send crypto from an external wallet or exchange (MetaMask, Binance, OKX, etc.) → use the Picnic app.
A) Loading with the balance already in your Picnic account (web)
If you already have crypto in your Picnic account (Portfolio / Multi-currency balance) and just want to move that balance to your card, use Picnic Pro in your browser. The balance lands on your card in seconds, with no external on-chain transfer needed.
- Open app.usepicnic.com in your browser (this flow is not available in the mobile app yet);
- Log in with your email and the verification code (OTP) sent to your email;
- Go to the Picnic Card area and click Load Card;
- Choose the asset (USDC, BRZ, etc.) and the amount you want to use from your balance;
- Confirm the transaction. The converted amount appears in your Picnic card balance in $USD within seconds.
B) Loading by sending crypto from an external wallet or exchange (app)
If your crypto is in an external wallet (MetaMask, Trust, Phantom, etc.) or an exchange (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, etc.), use the Picnic app to generate a deposit address. The amount sent is converted into digital dollars ($USD) and added to your Picnic card balance.
-
Open the Picnic app
- Open the app;
- Log in with your email and the verification code (OTP) sent to your email.
-
Go to the card deposit area
- On the home screen, enter the Picnic Card area;
- Tap Deposit.
-
Choose the crypto deposit method
- Select the Cryptocurrencies option.
-
Choose the currency and network
- Select the cryptocurrency you want to use (USDT, USDC, BTC – if available);
- Choose the correct network (Ethereum, BNB, Base, etc.), which should be the same one you'll use in the originating wallet or exchange.
-
View and confirm the rate
- The app will show the estimated rate (how much this converts to digital dollars on the card) and any fees and limits;
- Tap Confirm to generate the deposit request.
-
Wait for the wallet address to appear
- The app will show a wallet address for sending and, sometimes, a QR Code with value and expiration time instructions;
- Copy the address carefully.
-
Send the crypto from the originating wallet
- Open your external wallet or exchange where the cryptocurrencies are;
- Initiate a send/withdrawal, paste the address provided in the Picnic app, select the same currency and same network, and the same amount you entered in Picnic;
- Confirm the transaction.
-
Wait for network confirmation
- The confirmation time depends on the chosen network;
- Once the deposit is confirmed, the converted amount appears in your Picnic card balance in $USD.
Tip: always check the currency, network, and address before sending. Deposits sent with different information may not be credited.
