With the Picnic card, you can withdraw local currency from ATMs abroad using the card balance.
ATM Withdrawal Limits
- Daily limit: up to 500 USDCe per day.
- Per withdrawal limit: up to 250 USDCe per transaction.
If you need to withdraw more than 250 USDCe in the same day, you can make more than one withdrawal, as long as you do not exceed the 500 USDCe daily limit.
Withdrawal Fees
You have a monthly allowance before you start paying the Picnic fee:
- Up to 5 free withdrawals per month or up to 200 USDCe withdrawn,
- Whichever comes first.
After reaching this limit:
- Each additional withdrawal will have a 2% fee on the withdrawn amount.
Quick example:
- If you withdraw 100 USDCe after exhausting the allowance, the fee will be 2 USDCe.
ATM Operator Fees
In addition to Picnic's rules, the local ATM operator may also charge its own fee for using the ATM.
- This fee is set by the ATM bank/operator, not by Picnic.
- The amount usually appears on the ATM screen before you confirm the withdrawal.
What to Check Before Withdrawing
Before attempting a withdrawal, check:
- If you have sufficient balance on the card in $USD / USDCe;
- If you are still within the daily limits (500 USDCe) and per withdrawal (250 USDCe);
- If you have not yet exceeded the free withdrawal allowance for the month, if you want to avoid the 2% fee.
