Use this article when you need to prove a purchase to a merchant or a refund for reimbursement.
Where to Find the Receipt
- Each purchase has an identifier with a public receipt. This identifier is different from traditional bank receipts. This is because Picnic card transactions are conducted on the Gnosis network (a blockchain).
- You can access this receipt through the Picnic app → Card → History → Tap on the transaction → Receipt on the Blockchain.
- On the page that opens, copy the sequence called Transaction Hash. This is the transaction identifier.
Sharing the Receipt
- Follow the step above to find the receipt.
- Paste the address in an email, chat, or document to share.
Tip: if the transaction just happened and you can't find it, close and reopen the app and wait a few minutes.
What to Check on the Receipt
- Status: it should be Success.
- Amount: section called ERC-20 Tokens Transferred - Amount right after the word FOR.
Quick Notes
- Privacy: the link is public; share the Blockchain Receipt link whenever you need to prove the transaction.
- Refund: appears as a new credit transaction a few days later; the original purchase does not disappear from the history.
