Step-by-step to Sign
Review the action on Picnic (amount, fee, and asset).
Click Confirm.
Accept the request that appears in the extension/app (and on the device, if you have a hardwallet).
Wait for the success return on the Picnic screen.

Pending confirmation request in the wallet (the window is behind the browser).
Locked device.
Unstable internet on the computer/mobile.
Network peak of the asset (high traffic or large queue).
