**Signs of a defective card:**

-   Does not work on any card reader
-   Numbers or data are illegible
-   Physical card is cracked or broken

**Basic test:**

1.  Try the card at different locations
2.  Check if the chip is clean and unscratched
3.  Test contactless payment (tap)

**If the defect is confirmed:**

1.  Open the app and cancel the card
2.  Still in the app, request a new one
3.  You can always create and use just the virtual card
